Why Certified Inspectors are critical

ANSI standards mandate that a qualified lift inspector inspect all vehicle lifts at least annually.

Many companies will tell you that their inspectors are qualified to perform these Automotive Lift Inspections. But the only independent verification of lift inspector qualification in North America is the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Lift Inspector Certification Program.

ALI Certified Lift Inspectors:

  • Have been independently tested and certified by ALI as qualified to inspect any vehicle lift, regardless of manufacturer, brand, model, type, age or location.
  • Have passed two rigorous exams covering electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles, as well as basic automotive lift design and use. The exams are administered by an independent testing agency.
  • Follow industry standard Automotive Lift Inspections processes and use standardized lift inspection documentation to ensure that every lift receives a consistently thorough inspection.
  • Can apply serialized ALI Certified Lift Inspection Program labels to every lift they inspect. Labels provide code enforcement officials with instant proof of the last time a lift was professionally inspected.
  • Are eligible for Associate Class Membership in ALI. Associate Class Members receive ongoing lift inspection training.

Inspection process – What to expect

You can expect us to facilitate the inspection process and make it as easy for you as possible.

Someone at our Automotive Lift Inspections company will schedule with you, beforehand, to set a date and time that is most convenient for you.

On the day(s) of inspection, our Inspectors will diligently and thoroughly inspect your lifts while make sure to be as little of an inconvenience as possible. We respect both, the lift operator and your time and space.

After inspections are finished, our Inspector will provide you a copy of the completed inspection forms, including an Administrative Review that summarizes all reportable observations and corrective actions that may be required. Automotive lifts passing the annual requirements will be labeled with the current year’s Annual Lift Inspection Label bearing the ALI’s logo and the inspector’s unique four digit ID number.

Between annual inspections we will be in contact with you to make sure all of your needs have been met to complete satisfaction.

Finally, we will remind you when the time is coming to reinspect your lifts.

Why Choose Lift Inspection Services?

Our inspections are performed by ALI Certified Lift Inspectors

The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) has developed the ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program: the first program in North America that independently tests and certifies vehicle lift inspectors. When you hire an ALI Certified Lift Inspector, you’re getting more than a qualified lift inspector. You’re getting the peace of mind that comes from knowing your lifts are being inspected by a true professional.

Inspections performed by Lift Inspection Services keep your employees safe and your shop running at peak efficiency.

What an Automotive Lift Inspector Does

A Certified Lift Inspector follows industry best practices to thoroughly inspect any brand, model and type of lift.

The inspector will determine if the lift is suitable for continued use or if maintenance or repair is needed. At the conclusion of the inspection, the ALI Certified Lift Inspector will provide a written inspection certificate for each lift and will affix an ALI Annual Lift Inspection Label to each lift that passes.

Our Automotive Lift Inspections Company Has You Covered

To ensure ongoing safety and performance, have all of your lifts inspected at least annually by an ALI Certified Lift Inspector.

There’s more riding on your lifts than cars and trucks. The safety of your employees, customers and business are riding on them too. With so much depending on your lifts, it is crucial that they be inspected at least annually by a qualified inspector. In fact, the ANSI national standard governing lift operation, inspection, and maintenance, ANSI/ALI/ ALOIM (current edition) mandates such inspections.
